Corporal Warren M. Edenburn was an aviation radioman and gunner assigned to VMSB-131, a Marine dive-bomber squadron stationed on Espiritu Santo.

Edenburn was participating in an authorized flight on 14 March 1943 and failed to return. The exact specifics of his loss are not known at this time; some members of his squadron were performing training hops near Santo, while others were returning from a well-deserved liberty in Sydney, Australia, via SCAT aircraft.

The corporal’s body was never found, and he was declared dead on 15 March 1944.
