PFC Arlando “Wilkes” Kendrick was a member of the Marine detachment aboard the cruiser USS Houston. He was last seen aboard his ship on 1 March 1942, when she was sunk in the battle of Sunda Strait.

Kendrick’s body was never found, and he was officially declared dead on 15 December 1945.

    My name is John Randall Kendrick my uncle’s name is Orlando Wilkes Kendrick he was listed as missing in action on the USS Houston in the Java sea there is somebody out there down in Florida if I’m not mistaken his name is Bob that has a few of my uncle’s personal belongings if anybody can help me who would know who Bob is please get in contact with me via my email address most respectfully John Randall Kendrick,,,,
