Hi Chris, I am not related but am working on this site in memory of a Marine listed as missing who was killed attempting to save a relative of mine. I would welcome any information your family is willing to share.

I have quite a bit of information on William Daniel Harmon. He was my mother’s older half brother. What specifically would you like to know or have?

Hello Julie,
Any and all information you’d like to share is most welcome! Ideally, I would like to be able to provide biographical sketches for as many of our missing WW2 Marines as I can – anything from a birthdate to a photograph to a nickname or an anecdote is welcome. Family histories that are not readily available through military records are best; I think it helps put a face to these men that is easy to miss when you see their names on a memorial or in a book.
So I suppose the question is: what would you like to share about your relative?
You can post information here, or if you prefer, email me at webmaster@ablecompany24.com
Everything will be credited to you.
Best,
Geoffrey
